Adi Mulahalilović is a multi-platinum, award-winning composer and producer from Sarajevo, now based in Los Angeles.

His musical journey began in the late 1980s with the legendary band Hari Mata Hari, where he served as pianist, composer, and arranger during the group's rise to become one of the most successful acts in the former Yugoslavia. During that period, he received numerous industry honors, including the Golden Bird Award, Diamond Record, and multiple Platinum Records from Jugoton.

In 1991, Adi left the band to produce his brother Edo Mulahalilović's platinum-selling album Jedna je pjesma cijelog života. Soon after, the outbreak of war across the former Yugoslavia changed the course of both life and music. Throughout the Siege of Sarajevo, Adi and Edo continued writing, producing, and creating cultural projects under extraordinary circumstances. Among them was Ostani kraj mene, the song that represented Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Eurovision Song Contest in Ireland in 1994.

In the years that followed, Adi collaborated on numerous platinum - and gold-certified recordings across Europe, working with Warner Chappell, Unirecords, and other labels. As a composer, producer, arranger, and ghostwriter, he became a trusted creative partner behind many successful artists, shaping songs and careers from behind the scenes.

The passing of his brother Edo in 2010 marked a defining turning point. After relocating to California, Adi stepped away from the music industry, leaving behind a career that had spanned decades. When he eventually returned, it was with a renewed artistic vision. His work expanded into film scoring, documentaries, and deeply personal songwriting, where themes of memory, loss, resilience, and hope became the foundation of a new creative chapter.

Today, Adi's music reflects a lifetime of experience. Blending cinematic emotion with Americana, country rock, blues, and subtle world influences, his songs are driven by authentic storytelling and emotional depth. Drawing on decades of triumph, heartbreak, and reinvention, he continues to create music that resonates across cultures and generations. Adi welcomes collaborations with artists who connect with the spirit and stories at the heart of his work.

Personal Philosophy

“The right song, at the right moment, can heal a wounded heart, lift the spirit, and bring light, hope and understanding to people. Through my songwriting, I hope to plant even the smallest seed of optimism and love.”

- Adi Mulahalilović
